Visiting Dallas Downtown, Texas – Travel

“Walk the Downtown”

is definitely our number one traveling rule. Visiting Texas Northern area and not going to Dallas would be a travel crime. So we saved a whole day for that before leaving back to reality.

Unfortunately, that was the week that most rained in the area in years. You can tell by the quality of the pictures that we were struggling with the weather. Following our downtown rule and enjoy that amazing city was being not so easy.

Visiting Dallas Downtown is a must-do in Texas. That is to be said, It has been voted “Best International Skyline” in a contest by USA Today and 10 Best. So it is really a shame we couldn’t take a good picture of that skyline. (that’s why we had to borrow this image from Kenny Tong/Shuttersock.com )

We came out with the plan. We re following Kennedy’s motorcade route on until we got to Elm Street. That is the place of the facts that marked history. Then we got out of our car and started walking around.

Texans are very proud people, everything here is bigger and better. I can imagen how such an event could impact on their proud. Turning it into the dark shame over those years after the shooting of JFK and then Lee Harvey Oswald. I can be influenced by history, documentaries, and films about it. Also can be affected by today’s weather. But even so, I dare to say that this place maintains in its atmosphere much of what happened here that day.

At the other end of the city, with a very different vibe. There is a cultural area. You can no be Visiting Dallas Downtown without going there. So here we go…

… To be continued …
