This is my Chase Bank Sketch for my #inktober2019 Day 16
This piece comes from my travel to the Art District in Dallas, Texas. That is the local Chase Bank Building. Dallas, as Texas capital, has great incomes from the oil business, so this is a wealthy city. In consequence, Dallas Downtown is full of great buildings made by great international firms. On a single photo taken here, you can have architects like Pei, Herzog & De Meuron, Foster, and many more.
Like the other sketches fro this set, this was made as a pencil sketch on the go. It was raining so hard that day that this had to be an actual quick sketch. There is a post about that day walking the Art District in Dallas downtown, check it out.
Initially, when I first looked at it, the building showed me the wealthiness that a bank and also this city should project. That Glass dome captured my attention so I came closer, that when I realized that its front was being remodeled. That made it look kind of vulnerable and down to earth so I decided to sketch it. A story to tell on an urbansketch.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, I’m half-way there. This is Day 16 on #inktober2019 and the Chase Bank Sketch is done!
