Barn House Design – A Minimalist Approach

Hi everyone, I’m back with a new post on my portfolio. It is about a Barn House Design.

This Minimalist Barn House might be the house project that took me longer to accomplish. We went back and forth with the client trying to find the right Layout. We were clear from the beginning about the aesthetic of the house. However, we had to dig for a while until finding each room’s right placement and dimensions.

There is an existing house on the property. However, they decided to tear it down and build a new house to represent their style. This house is a design that I made for a couple of doctors and their beautiful little girl. It is located right on Bemidji Lake, so they will have a great time together, building great family memories.

Barn House Design is an essential house for me, both personally and professionally. It was my first Contemporary house design in Minnesota. Most of my projects there are on a traditional stream. It has been a great experience since not all the clients take all that time to look things over again and again.
