Canal Street Sketch – #inktober2019 Day 14

More from my Unfinished Business in New Orleans. Later that day we went to the Mississippi River, we took the walk down to Bourbon Street. There is to be said, over and over again, that New Orleans is more than gorgeous. So walking around is just a joy, quick sketching along the walk makes the whole experience unforgetable.

We were so excited to get to Bourbon Street that we didn’t want to wait any longer, so when I say this was a quick sketch, believe me, it was quick!. I didn’t want to miss that view, the Four Seasons Tower at the end of Canal Street and right behind it, The Mississippi River, where we come walking from. I remember there was a beautiful sunset, with a colorful twilight.

Revisiting “Unfinished Business” from New Orleans keeps bringing me lovely memories of our trip there. Inking and washing with watercolor this little piece made feel kind of nostalgic. My next post will be from blocks away on the same say, under the same sunset but at The French Quarter, the ultimate place to be in New Orleans.

After the Mississipi River Sketch, I made this, Canal Street Sketch for my #inktober2019 Day 14
