Preparing my Travel SketchBook – #CoffeeSketch 30

Late-night coffee time to prepare my travel gear. I’m Preparing my Travel SketchBook because I’m about to travel to New Orleans. So I need to set up a tool kit for such an experience. First, I made my selection, then I decided to draw an inventory of all the tools I’m bringing with me. That is to be said, this is an important trip, my wife and I are celebrating ten years of marriage. Even though this will be an anniversary trip, it will be also a great opportunity to sketch around downtown, isn’t it?

When I’m applying the watercolor to the sketches, I realized that the ink I am using is NOT water resistant!. although the packaging indicates so. It seems like someone is packing cheap ink into high-end inks bottles. Thing is that all the ink began to run. Then, it forced me to finish the inventory with color markers over the watercolor paper. A bit weird, but I had no choice. My first stop in New Orleans will be definitely an art supplies shop. I have to replace my ink and take the opportunity to see what a wonderful surprise I get there.

Un café nocturno para preparar mi equipo de viaje. Estoy a punto de ir a Nueva Orleans y necesito configurar un kit de para tal experiencia. Una vez que hice mi selección decidí dibujar un inventario de todas las herramientas que traigo conmigo. Este es un viaje importante, mi esposa y yo estamos celebrando nuestro décimo aniversario de casados! pero por supuesto que también es una gran oportunidad de dibujar en una ciudad de tanta tradición como New Orleans. ¿o no?

Tratando de aplicar la acuarela al mi inventario resulta que la nueva tinta que estoy usando NO es resistente al agua! (aunque el envase lo indica, lo más probable es que alguien está envasando tinta barata en frascos de tintas de alta gama). Lo cierto es que toda la tinta comenzó a correrse, esto me obligó a terminar el inventario con marcadores sobre papel de acuarela, un poco raro, pero tuve opción. Mi primera parada en New Orleans es definitivamente una tienda de Arte, debo sustituir mi tinta y aprovechar de hurgar a ver qué maravillosa sorpresa me aparece.
