Some projects take time to develop. They evolve through multiple iterations. Others just click from the very first meeting. That was exactly the case with the Black Contemporary Farmhouse at Lake Texoma, Pottsboro.
This home was designed for a young couple and their two daughters. They wanted a place that was functional, easy to maintain, and perfect for making memories by the lake. From the start, I felt a deep connection with their vision. It was clear, exciting, and completely aligned with how I love to design homes for families.
That connection made all the difference. In just two weeks, we moved from initial sketches to an approved design. This made it one of the fastest design processes I’ve ever had in the area. When everything flows naturally—when the family’s dream aligns perfectly with my creative vision—the process becomes pure design magic.

One reason this project moved so quickly was the clarity of the family’s vision. They wanted a home that felt effortless—a space where lake days, gatherings, and quiet moments could happen without complication. Because of this, every detail was planned to enhance their lifestyle.
The house isn’t just a structure; it’s a story of connection. I still remember the excitement in our first meeting and the energy as ideas came together. Seeing the final plans match their vision so perfectly was incredibly rewarding.
Now that the final photos are live, I’m excited to share how this home came together. It’s not just a house—it’s a reflection of a family’s lifestyle. This will be a place where lake days, laughter, and unforgettable moments will happen for years to come.
